Buy the Øya Card
If you’re going to the festival all four days, we recommend you buy the awesome Øya Card [in Norwegian: Øyakortet] that we have developed in cooperation with public transportation company Ruter AS.
The card costs NOK 100,- and is valid for the period August 5-9. The Øya Card is available at the Øya Festival stand on Youngstorget on August 4-5, as well as Trafikanten (located right outside Oslo Central Station). The card will allow you to travel without extra charge on all regular bus, tram, and subway lines within Oslo.
Let Ruter take you to Øya!
It’s easy traveling by public transport to the Øya Festival in the Medieval Park:
By tram: lines 18 and 19 to St. Halvards plass.
By bus: line 32 to Ladegården, as well as lines 70 and 74 to Dyvekes bro.
By subway: all lines pass through Jernbanetorget station (Oslo Central Station). Take the tram or the bus the rest of the way to the Medieval Park.

Jeg skulle kjøpe Øyakortet i dag i Øya-boden på Youngstorget, men der var det utsolgt, og jeg ble vist videre til Trafikanten. Javel. Der var det stengt. Takk.
Hvor vanskelig er det for standen på Youngstorget å ta initiativ til å skaffe flere kort når det er utsolgt og man formodentlig er i stand til å finne ut at Trafikanten har kortere åpningstid enn Øya-boden? Nå må jeg ens ærend til byen og Trafikanten i morgen, etter å ha betalt unødvendige ekstra bussbilletter tilsvarende halve verdien av Øyakortet.
