Florida-quartet Against Me! gained many new fans with their super catchy album New Wave, released in 2007. The album was their first since signing with Sire, and showcased a band able to make vital punk rock with mass appeal. The upcoming album, produced by Butch Vig like its predecessor, is titled White Crosses.

Vocalist Tom Gabel and Against Me! have been going strong since the late 90s. Before joining the Sire-roster, they released several albums on small labels, among them Fat Wreck Chords. New Wave was met with fantastic reviews and was named that year’s best album in Spin Magazine. Against Me! played a sold-out gig for an ecstatic crowd at Garage in Oslo in 2007. People are still talking about the show, according to the staff one of their most memorable nights ever.

Against Me! makes simplistic and powerful rock inspired by their heroes The Replacements, The Clash, Billy Bragg and Bruce Springsteen.
