On their myspace-page, this young quartet from Vestfold admit to being fans of Gypsy music, Spanish guitars, and the usual suspects: Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Calexico – sources of inspiration all apparent in their tuneful songs. The teenagers in Mhoo impressed us with a surprisingly mature and well-played show at by:Larm. Newspaper Dagbladet wrote that “they enter the stage and deliver a concert so unflawed that one must be very grumpy and pedantic to find any faults…”.

Both the media and music fans have talked about Mhoo as the next big thing. We saw the band live and were convinced that they live up to the hype and more, and that their sunny and charming songs fit perfectly in the Medieval park under the August sun.
