”Why doesn’t anyone take my music seriously? I want to get in-depth interviews in current magazines.” Maybe that isn’t so strange when your band is so funky and silly that it makes Spike Jones sound like Gustav Mahler. The songs are about Japanese seafood dishes, discovery voyages, sorting of mail, the most popular TV-series of the nineties, and the inflection of verbs Uri Geller-style. They contain loads of Japanese slang and pop-cultural references. The music is supergroovy, with layers upon layers of samples and silly beats, cheesy saxophone, and sub-atomic bass.
