Haust

Haust has strong roots in both brutal metal and wicked hardcore, and was originally a black metal act. After having lurked about in the Oslo underground for a while, they’re now ready for attention. Their debut album, ‘Ride the Relapse’, recently came out on Tiger’s new label, Fysisk Format. It’s only a 24-minute ride, but it’s guaranteed to leave you dizzy and screaming for more. With impressive precision and impeccable attitude they race through thirteen tracks that they themselves define as “necrosludge”. At Øya they’ll be hammering primal and scary rock into your ears. This is a perfect hybrid of metal, punk, and noise – in other words, a liberating experience for everyone who’s dead tired of summer pop and the likes. Haust will be mowing you down on Thursday Aug. 7.
